Do I need a fishing license?
No Fishing License is required to head out on our Fishing Charters. You will be covered under our company’s umbrella license.
Are your charters & tours family friendly?
Indeed! We run family tours with kids.
Pet friendly (only up to a 4 hour trip) life jackets, leashes and collars required.
Family friendly all ages welcome but PLEASE NOTE, children under 10 and adults over 70 with health conditions may not do well on the longer trips.
Is there a deposit required?
A $500 deposit will be required when booking any charter. The deposit will be refunded in the event of severe weather and/or small craft warnings. Any cancellations must be made 7 days in advance of your scheduled charter date and time in order to receive a deposit refund. Any no shows or cancellations after the 7 day window refund of deposit will not be refunded.
At the time of booking, we require a $500 deposit. After your Charter is completed and your captain has finished filleting your prized catch, the remainder of the charter cost will be paid back to the dock. Cash, bank checks, money orders, and Zelle are all accepted. After the Charter is completed, you will settle with the captain.
Captain Chris will advise you on what you are able to legally keep, and you will decide if you want to harvest according to the regulations for each species. Only take what you need and save the rest for next time. We are happy to bag and clean your catch at the dock. Suggestion: We have worked hard to make ensure you have access to excellent services and some of the best eateries around, a suggested 20% gratuity would be wonderful assuming you appreciate our work! Gratuity is greatly appreciated and is not part of the charter price. If you pay by card, or in cash, gratuity may be added to the charter.
Our charters do not allow GPS tracking devices. Your cell phone may be used to take pictures, but it must not be actively tracking our location. The Way Life Should Be Fishing Charters has spent hours searching for the best fishing spots. We are proud to say that we have found them all. Any member of your group who violates this policy will be returned to port by Captain Chris and charged the full charter price. We appreciate your cooperation in making sure that future anglers on our charters have the same amazing fishing trip as you.

What if i'd like more time?
Additional hours is $100 an hour. Additional people other than up to amount stated is $70 a person
Maximum # of people on the yacht is 6 +crew (we need to find out for sure)
What is provided on the trip?
We will provide water, fishing poles, bait and additional gear can be provided.
All customers can BYOB (bring your own bottle), however, no one will be allowed to become intoxicated. Smoking is NOT suggested but permitted.
What should I bring with me?

Feel free to bring your own fishing items if you prefer
You can bring whatever you’d like to eat and drink on board. Alcohol is perfectly acceptable if there is no glass on board that could easily break. We have a Yeti on board that you can place your lunch and drinks in. You may also bring a smaller cooler on board if you prefer. We recommend bringing a cooler and keeping it in your car to keep your fish iced down on the way home, we will supply you with ice for that as well. We recommend that you wear gym shoes on board and recommend you wear a UV protectant shirt. We have all the necessary top-notch fishing gear ready to go on board, no fishing licenses are required as you are covered under our company.
Dramamine is suggested if you have any chance you may get sick, take in advance per directions on medicine. The Captain can provide it on the boat but it takes a few hours to work beforehand.

Where is the pickup location?
Your pickup location will be determined upon the initial call to confirm your reservation.
Where is your cancellation policy?
100% refund if you cancel prior to 4 days of the scheduled charter, within the 4-day window you get 40% back on day 4, 30% back on day 3, 20% back on day 2, and 0% on day 1 if you cancel or are a no-show day off.
If we cancel due to weather or boat issues, we will refund 100% up until the day of, if you cancel due to weather and we are still going out, there will be no refund. Please note: There is No Guaranteed to catch fish, as we can’t control nature.

Do I need to fill out any paperwork?
Yes, we do require you to sign a waiver prior to boarding the vessel. You will be prompted to fill out the waiver when you book your charter, tour, or cruise.
